Frequently asked questions

Is this an 18+ event?
Yes, the Brisbane Openair Cinema has a fully licensed bar. Under 18's will only be permitted when accompanied by a responsible adult.
 
Can we purchase drinks and food at the event?
Yes, we have a fully licensed bar and you can buy tasty food too!
 
Can I purchase a gift certificate?
You sure can, check out details here.
 
Can we bring our own food and drink to the event?
Yes, with the exception of alcohol. Absolutely no BYO and no glass on site.
 
What is the parking situation?
The nearest carpark is the QPAC Riverside Car Park.

What is a Star Class ticket?
Star Class tickets include reserved deck chair seating in prime location.
 
What about if it rains or gets cold?
Films will still be screened if it rains intermittently, so bring wet weather gear just in case of showers. If a session is cancelled for any reason, your tickets will be transferrable for any other night of our season. Please keep an eye on the website for updates and see door staff for details.

It's past 3:30pm and I can't seem to purchase tickets on moshtix. Can I still purchase tickets at the door tonight?
Moshtix closes online sales at 3:30pm. After this time you can no longer purchase tickets online, however will be able to purchase tickets at the door from 5.30pm unless the event has sold out. If an event is sold out it will say SOLD OUT on the event description on the website.

What is the seating arrangement?
Seating is unreserved, though Star Class tickets give you a reserved prime seating area, so come early to get a good spot. Bean bags and deck chairs are available for hire (deck chairs come with Star Class seating).
 
Is this an accessible event?
Yes, Brisbane Openair is an accessible venue for people who use wheelchairs. Please email us on team@brisbaneopenair.com.au if you need assistance.
 
What times does the night start?
Doors open at 5.30pm, and the film screens at dusk (around 6.45pm) unless otherwise noted.
 
Can we make group bookings at Brisbane Openair Cinema?
Yes, please email team@brisbaneopenair.com.au to organise your group. 
 
Can I bring my dog to the event?
Dogs are allowed into the event if they remain on a leash. Unfortunately though if your dog becomes disruptive we may have to ask you to leave.
