Brisbane Openair - The Cultural Forecourt, South Bank
A season of live music and feature films under the stars is underway at Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinemas (23 October - 13 November) at The Cultural Forecourt - Under the stars, overlooking the city!
The cinematic event is it's first leg of the Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinemas program, which will travel south to the shores of Sydney's Bondi Beach, and continue to it's final screening place on top Melbourne's St Kilda Sea Baths.
Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinema nights are a quintessential outdoor event; with feature films playing on our huge movie screen from dusk. Cinemagoers can relax with some tasty food and frosty beverages from the licensed bar, while listening to the sunset sounds of acoustic sets from emerging musicians.
As an excting addition to the Festival this year, Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinemas will host 'Sundae Sessions', a dedicated live music evening each Sunday night, with FREE Ben & Jerry's ice cream for all! More details about these events will be released shortly.
Before the films begin at sunset, Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinemas present the best of the emerging Brisbane music scene, with local musicians playing acoustic sets on the Sunset Stage. This event has featured some of Australia’s best local talent in previous years, including sets from Jack Carty, Dan Parsons, Tara Simmons, Ashleigh Mannix, Ryan Meeking, The Little Stevies and Miriam Lieberman.
At dusk, full-length films screen under the stars. The eclectic program line up is one of quirky comedies, retro classics, great Australian films, award winning films, new releases, premieres and sneak previews.
